Tax - Business Tax Services – Private Tax – Corporate Senior Your Opportunity
EY Private Tax is a growing practice within the organization, and you'll see that growth reflected in your career. The team has a dedicated focus toward serving privately held companies, ranging from family-owned businesses to private equity-owned companies. This is an ever increasingly high-growth private company space, including startups to multi-billion-dollar global private companies. You'll work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects with support and training from knowledgeable colleagues, with opportunities to progress to manager. Your Key Responsibilities
Support managers through partners in providing tax services, balancing time between compliance and planning, and interacting directly with clients. Focus on corporate returns as well as provision work; opportunity to work on flow-through entities (i.e., partnerships). Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting). Provide tax research, tax memoranda drafting, and assistance in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services. Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Directors and Partners. Liaise and build relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals. Build effective long-term relationships with clients and understand their needs to provide tailored service. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients. Maintain professional reputation by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with tax, business or financial planning experience. Eligibility for CPA certification or membership in The Bar. Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions. Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organizations. A commitment to continuing learning. Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis. Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a balanced hybrid environment. What We Look For
