Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Senior
Base pay range: $82,000.00/yr - $135,200.00/yr
Location: Anywhere in Country
EY is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior in Tax - Business Tax Services. The opportunity focuses on private tax clients, spanning family-owned businesses to private equity owned companies, with growth from startups to multi-billion-dollar private companies. There is opportunity to progress to manager.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross-border tax compliance (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, and foreign affiliate reporting).
Provide tax research, draft memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Directors and Partners.
Liaise and build relationships with other service lines and subject matter professionals.
Build effective long-term relationships with clients and tailor services to their needs.
Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients.
Maintain knowledge of tax practices and share knowledge with the team.
Identify and respond to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with tax, business, or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization.
Commitment to continuing learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis.
Willingness to travel and to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
