Do you want to help low-income families improve their financial futures? You can by volunteering with MFS CASH Oregon.
By providing free tax preparation and supporting free tax sites throughout the Portland Metro area, our volunteers help thousands of low-income, working families access important tax credits and overcome the stress and barriers to filing their taxes.
Not a tax expert? No problem! MFS CASH Oregon provides free training and ongoing support.
Virtual and in-person opportunities are available. New Volunteer Orientations and Training will be available in November 2025 for the 2026 tax season.
Volunteers Can Expect:
Flexible hours and multiple tax sites to choose from
Increase knowledge about tax preparation and personal finances
Work alongside a community of over 300 volunteers dedicated to helping others and making tax prep fun
Fight poverty, make a real difference

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity.
