eBilling Compliance Specialist – Polsinelli
Join our eBilling Compliance team and play a pivotal role in driving revenue recovery for the firm. Use your expertise in Outside Counsel Guidelines compliance to analyze, appeal, and resolve time entry reductions, directly increasing the amount of revenue recovered from client deductions. This hybrid role requires 2 days in the office and is open to candidates located anywhere we have an office.
Key Responsibilities
Own the invoice appeal process, report on successful resubmissions and payments, and provide weekly progress updates to Management, ensuring transparency and measurable impact on recovered revenue.
Review invoice‑level deductions and analyze reduced time entries against Client Outside Counsel Guidelines to identify appeal opportunities and maximize revenue recovery.
Submit and track appeals, follow up with client billing contacts, and resolve disputes to secure payment for previously reduced time.
Collaborate with attorneys and billing teams to clarify entries and improve compliance, supporting ongoing revenue protection.
Participate in eBilling process improvement projects, such as streamlining workflows, implementing new technologies, enhancing compliance procedures, and developing best practices to increase efficiency and revenue recovery.
Support timekeeper rates submission projects, especially during yearly rate increases, to meet client deadlines and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
3–5 years in legal billing, focused eBilling compliance operations.
Strong understanding of Outside Counsel Guidelines and eBilling process compliance.
Proven success in appealing rejected time entries and recovering revenue.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Five or more years of experience in billing/eBilling at a mid‑size or large firm.
Experience using law firm billing platform 3E and eBilling software BillBlast.
Familiarity with major eBilling vendor platforms and a strong understanding of their invoice appeal processes and tools.
Knowledge of best practices in eBilling process compliance.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $70,000 – $85,000 based on experience.
