Annual Salary:

Competitive base with bonus incentive. Minimum $88,000.

Summary The Senior Manager Operations II manages operations and personnel for approximately 601+ equivalent truck units across one or more locations. The role may include supervising Operations Managers, Operations Supervisors, Technicians‑In‑Charge, Customer Service Coordinators, Parts Responsible Persons, and Administrative Assistance. The Senior Operations Manager II must delegate work, manage the team, and ensure business objectives and labor requirements are met. The position is responsible for location performance against metrics, compliance with key company processes, SOPs, and maintenance practices. This may also be a development path to Maintenance Manager or Manager of Quality Assurance.

Essential Functions

Operations Management: Oversight of work analysis, vehicle planning, scheduling, and assignment to technicians. Productivity tracking, shift and shop meetings, RO review, and approval. Complex strategic labor planning and shift pattern optimization.

Labor Management: Leadership and training of a self‑directed management team. Performance management, technical training plan execution, staffing evaluation, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and succession planning.

Customer Management: Customer relationship management, issue resolution, customer satisfaction, and retention. Optimize vehicle maintenance cycle time, customer communication protocol, and partner with sales for new business.

Financial Management: Budget development, cost control, net maintenance cost per unit, vendor sourcing, invoice reconciliation, and billing processes.

Asset Management: Maintenance and appearance of locations, 6S standards, asset management initiatives, capital expenditure business case, and parts inventory management.

Quality Management: Quality planning, corrective actions, mandatory compliance, quality metrics, root cause analysis, safety, and documentation.

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma/GED – Required.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree – Preferred.

3 years or more supervisory experience – Required.

4 years or more experience in an operations environment or demonstrated success in a Ryder role – Required.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel – Preferred.

Preferred experience with Fleet management Software.

Experience with strategic labor, financial, operating, quality, safety, and asset processes and related metrics – Required.

Preferred maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment.

Travel Yes, 1–10%.

Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary $88,000, potential bonus and long‑term incentive. Benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) plan with employer match, and share discount.
