A great UHY client is seeking an IT Director to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have their bachelor’s degree, prior hands‑on leadership experience, and some healthcare experience. The IT Director role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position. IT Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain local server environments, including updates, monitoring, and disaster recovery Oversee network infrastructure (Active Directory, VPNs, switches, and firewalls) Administer access controls, backups, and data security processes Ensure reliable connectivity for healthcare and pharmacy systems Develop and maintain integrations, scripts, and automation tools across multiple systems Create dashboards, reports, and scripts using Python, PowerShell, SQL, or C# Support software deployment and troubleshooting for internal systems Coordinate with vendors for system updates, testing, and configuration changes Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and monitoring Develop and implement IT and security policies, procedures, and documentation Oversee cybersecurity measures, including MFA and endpoint protection Manage IT planning, including infrastructure upgrades and technology roadmaps Prepare IT budgets and manage vendor contracts and licensing Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership IT Director Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 8+ years of IT experience, including leadership and healthcare or pharmacy exposure Strong knowledge of server environments, automation tools, and network management Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and scripting languages Understanding of data exchange protocols (HL7, FHIR) Familiarity with HIPAA and data-security best practices Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Azure) preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide after-hours support as needed IT Director Physical and Environmental Requirements
Primarily office-based, with periodic server room or hardware access Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds of equipment Seniority level
