Overview As the Senior Retail Director, you will be the driving force behind the coordination and strategic development of our Retail Sales and Merchandising Organization. Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire: Provide clear direction, motivation, and coaching to the Retail Team to achieve company and client sales and merchandising goals.
Client & Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and customers to proactively address opportunities, align expectations, and deliver value.
Strategic Deployment: Oversee and optimize retail deployment strategies to maximize field effectiveness and ROI.
Performance Management: Conduct regular evaluations of team performance, identify development opportunities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Talent Acquisition: Recruit and onboard top talent for the Retail Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and culture.
Profitability Analysis: Develop cost analyses for retail activities to assess client profitability and inform strategic decisions.
Insightful Reporting: Deliver scheduled reports on key metrics and translate data into actionable business insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Client and Customer teams to ensure reporting and analytics are meaningful, relevant, and aligned with scorecard objectives.
Presentation Development: Create and present impactful interview and business presentations as needed.
Adaptability & Ownership: Take on miscellaneous duties and special projects that support the broader business strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years in consumer‑packaged goods (CPG) with hands‑on experience in account management, sales, marketing, merchandising, analytics, and administration.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams.
Strong influence, negotiation, and delegation skills with a focus on accountability.
Experience in performance evaluation and talent acquisition within a retail environment.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data.
Experience managing a P&L, conducting cost analysis, and identifying profitability opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering compelling presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Ability to travel as needed.
Strong judgment, decision‑making, and prioritization skills.
Assertive, decisive, creative, and a team player with a strong sense of urgency.
Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $92,610.00 – $128,600.00. Travel required as outlined. Flexible scheduling options for many field roles. Comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within Acosta Group.
