Primary Purpose Provide professional advice, guidance and implementation in partnership with line management regarding workforce planning, employee relations, and staffing. Ensure HR integrated support of business strategy and goals. Interpret, implement and execute Exelon’s policies and programs.
Primary Duties
Align company talent strategy within the client group based on workforce, talent, and development needs. (20%)
Provide HR expertise in policy and procedure, employee & Labor relations, coaching and feedback. Attend and lead grievance meetings and other day‑to‑day activities. (20%)
Lead and manage full‑cycle investigations with supporting groups as necessary. (20%)
Work strategically, operationally, and tactically to influence effective change management initiatives, drive innovation and project plans. (15%)
Participate in special projects as assigned. (15%)
Provide transactional support of employee and organizational changes. (10%)
Job Scope
Interact with line management, department heads, HR Business Partner, key managers and all levels of employees across Exelon.
Work under Human Resource Manager.
Support storm duty rotation as assigned based on Opco.
Minimum Qualifications
4‑year degree in Human Resources or related field and 2‑4 years of strong HR generalist experience in a matrixed organization.
Proven demonstration of effective line management relations in a high‑performance culture with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA and FMLA.
Business knowledge in Energy Services or Corporate‑type background (helpful).
Strong drive for results to ensure HR alignment with the business unit and/or site.
Proven management skills in coaching, performance management and facilitating business competency.
Ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change with line management.
In lieu of degree, 3‑6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Labor relations experience with solid understanding of employment law, grievance and arbitration procedures, and collective bargaining.
PHR certification.
