As a Senior Business Director at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. You’ll team with world‑class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. This role is within Capital One’s Enterprise Product and Experience (EPX) Chief of Staff & Product Operations team, spanning Enterprise Data, Marketing Technology, AI/ML and more. You will lead a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers focused on a mix of strategic and operational topics.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with EPX senior leadership to advance shared goals and support labor & talent planning.

Lead cross‑functional problem solving and operational planning for large horizontal programs that span EPX.

Build and lead a diverse team of BAs, Product, and Project Managers, with opportunities to grow the team and your scope over time.

Shape the strategic agenda for attracting and growing great Product Managers and enabling them to build innovative products at Capital One.

Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.

Manage and develop multiple analysts; coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent.

Partner with Product Managers, Design and Engineering to build the best products for Capital One and its partners.

Coordinate delivery across lines of business, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy.

Work closely with colleagues across functions to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.

Demonstrate strong business judgment, leadership, integrity, and decision‑making in a dynamic environment.

Communicate effectively with executives through written and oral communications and strategic influencing.

Maintain a clear results orientation, focusing on both short‑ and long‑term goals, and execute plans under uncertainty.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).

At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis.

At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis.

At least 2 years of experience in people management.

At least 2 years of experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree.

5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis.

5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis.

3+ years of experience in people management.

3+ years of experience in product development.

3+ years of experience in financial modeling.

3+ years of experience in economic forecasting.

3+ years of experience in project management.

Salary and Benefits McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700; Richmond, VA: $240,300 - $274,300; New York, NY: $288,400 - $329,100; Chicago, IL: $240,300 - $274,300. The role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
