Sr. Business Director, EPX Operations
Capital One – Enterprise Product and Experience (EPX) Chief of Staff & Product Operations team.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with EPX senior leadership to advance shared goals and support labor & talent planning.
Lead cross‑functional problem solving and operational planning for large horizontal programs spanning EPX.
Build and lead a diverse team of BAs, Product and Project Managers, growing the team and scope over time.
Shape the strategic agenda for attracting and growing great Product Managers and enabling them to build innovative products at Capital One.
Strategic leadership: develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability and competitive success.
Leadership: coach and mentor associates, developing and retaining talent.
Product: partner with Product Managers, Design and Engineering to build the best products.
Execution: coordinate across the line of business to manage delivery, build requirements and execute product strategy.
Partnership: work closely with colleagues across Capital One including Tech, Product, Design and others to improve quality, volume, service and profitability.
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: tenacious decision maker with a healthy, aggressive yet responsible approach to business.
Strong executive communication skills: impeccable written and oral communication, strategic influencing, agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Clear results orientation: intense focus on achieving short and long term goals in uncertain and fluid environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis.
At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis.
At least 2 years of experience in people management.
At least 2 years of experience in project management.
Preferred: Master’s Degree.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in people management.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in product development.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in financial modeling.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in economic forecasting.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in project management.
Benefits and Compensation Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries by location (example: McLean, VA $264,300–$301,700; Richmond, VA $240,300–$274,300). Performance‑based incentive compensation, cash bonus and long‑term incentives available.
