The AVP, Middle Office in TD Securities is the executive responsible for the global oversight, supervision and leadership for the Equities product teams. In this role, they will collaborate with business partners in the Global Markets space. The incumbent requires a deep understanding of trading in a multinational financial institution and will lead a group of trading operations professionals to support business partners by delivering ongoing servicing of clients across the TDS global footprint.

The AVP, Middle Office will own all pre and post trade execution management for the TDS Global Markets businesses and all trading related operating processes to ensure effective execution and risk management throughout the trade lifecycle. TD Securities culture is founded in collaboration with a focus on people. The AVP will be responsible for maintaining this culture throughout the Global Operations and Business Services team and will represent the team throughout TD Securities and the broader TD Bank. This is a Lake Mary based role that supports partners in New York.

Leads the strategic and tactical direction of the New York Operations team, ensuring alignment with the Global Operations strategy and mandate

Ensures day‑to‑day operational functions in New York run effectively and efficiently across Rates, Fixed Income, Funding, Cross Asset Trading, and USBBS

Works with New York Front Office staff and Operations Heads in Toronto/London/Singapore to resolve issues expeditiously

Acts as local representative for Global Operations, engaging in initiatives and discussions and representing Global Operations at executive management committees

Develops an expense budget consistent with the team’s goals set out in the Global Operations business plan

Engages with local regulators and internal/external auditors as local representative of Global Operations

Maintains optimum operations standards across TD Securities

Continuously reviews the organization to achieve business needs through structure, job specs, skills development, career and leadership development

Develops deep industry knowledge and stays abreast of market and competitive forces in the United States and internationally

Manages multiple processes and functions across identified products and services

Operates within documented risk parameters and ensures exception/escalation processes are in place and risk parameters remain appropriate through periodic review and forward‑looking risk assessments

Develops and maintains functional expertise to deliver expected level of service

Ensures knowledge transfer within TD Securities TDBFG

Acts as TDS representative in relevant external and internal activities

Acts as change leader for activities affecting the business unit

Promotes a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourages the team to achieve common goals and objectives

Creates a positive work environment that inspires the will to win, promotes customer service, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensures timely communication of issues and points of interest

Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

7+ years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Global leadership experience within the capital markets industry
