1 position at Sacramento County. Salary $9,572.00 - $10,867.00. Permanent, full time. Work shift 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Telework: In Office, hybrid telework, required in-person at least two days per week; from July 1, 2025, required in-person at least four days per week. Location: Sacramento County, Elk Grove Campus, Elk Grove, CA. Classification: Staff Services Manager III.
Job Overview The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters in Elk Grove is implementing a new automated system (HRTS) for hiring. The Staff Services Manager III is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing workforce services, managing staffing and workforce planning, coordinating employee health programs and ensuring compliance with state workforce standards.
Responsibilities
Lead workforce planning and staffing management for the CDCR workforce.
Coordinate employee health program services and maintain cooperative relationships with health care partners.
Analyze situations accurately and take effective action, communicate and write effectively.
Work with professional staff to coordinate and develop employee health program services.
Ensure compliance with CDCR policies and state workforce regulations.
Serve as liaison with Department staff, public and other governmental agencies.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources, public administration or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in workforce planning and staffing management.
Knowledge: State workforce standards, CDCR policies, employee health program services.
Skills: Strong communication, analytical, leadership, ability to develop inclusive workplace.
