We are looking for TWO Temporary Account Managers to develop and manage customer relationships with regional grocery retailers and warehouse distributors. The role focuses on optimizing our product assortment, promotional investment plans, securing incremental core distribution, launching best‑in‑class innovation, and delivering annual financial plans. Account Managers work closely with third‑party broker partners and distributors who help put our products on shelves at retailers. Responsibilities
Manage relationships with key contacts at regional grocery retailers and warehouse distributor accounts, including broker support. Prepare and customize sales presentations with retailer buyers and category managers to sell new item innovation and discuss strategic promotional plans. Analyze sales performance data, consumer loyalty and competitive insights to understand ROI and improve strategy and execution at each account. Forecast anticipated monthly case volumes, including base, incremental and new items in partnership with demand planning. Manage trade funding associated with promotional spending, staying within budget annually. Prepare clear, concise storytelling presentations based on analytics in partnership with business development. Build sales decks with supporting materials for customer meetings, including sell‑in stories, monthly business updates, sample shipments and line reviews using customer‑specific and syndicated data. Perform administrative tasks such as new item set‑up forms, respond to internal billing inquiries, and conduct internal sales reporting for leadership. Identify key shopper marketing opportunities and levers, collaborate cross‑functionally to implement digital support plans that drive additional sales. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Experience in consumer‑packaged goods industry sales roles. Experience directly calling on grocery retailer accounts. Experience managing budgets in TPM systems. Highly personable with strong relationship‑building skills. Willingness to travel for customer visits and internal meetings. Entrepreneurial, owner mindset and confident self‑starter. Strong curiosity and desire to grow professionally. Superb sales and influencing skills, both written and verbal. Collaborative, team‑building intuition. Ability to thrive while working independently (adaptability, resourcefulness). Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, etc.). Preferred Experience
Experience selling natural/organic brands to Whole Foods, Sprouts. Experience with UNFI and KeHE 3rd‑party distributors. Experience with both large and small food brands. Experience selling to Meijer, Hy‑Vee, and regional account management. Familiarity with broker relationships. Benefits
