Finance Manager – Automotive Industries Our client is a fast‑growing wholesale and remarketing company redefining how dealerships, rental car companies, leasing firms, banks, and exporters source and remarket vehicles.

Position Summary The Head of Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, overseeing all financial functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives.

Essential Job Functions

Financial Planning & Analysis

– Lead budget, forecast, and model development.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Create and maintain management dashboards and KPIs.

Resource Control & Optimization

– Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.

Implement cost‑reduction strategies and margin optimization initiatives.

Negotiate with suppliers, lenders, and financial institutions for favorable terms.

Risk Management & Compliance

– Ensure adherence to financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Implement effective internal controls and governance structures.

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.

Business Growth & Transformation

– Support the CEO in strategic planning and execution of growth initiatives.

Establish financial processes and systems to support aggressive scaling.

Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency across financial operations.

Performance & Profitability Analysis

– Conduct profitability analysis at client, contract, and business line level.

Recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency and long‑term sustainability.

Team Leadership

– Build, develop, and manage a high‑performing finance team.

Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Candidate Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.

MBA or post‑grad degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline preferred.

CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Experience

10+ years of progressive hands‑on finance leadership experience within small to mid‑sized high‑growth companies ($40M to $350M in revenue).

Proven record of scaling finance operations and implementing robust financial processes in entrepreneurial high growth environments.

Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management.

Well‑rounded operational background in accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A.

Experience with automotive‑related industries is a plus.

Background in working with banks, funds, and capital markets for financing structures.

Demonstrated ability to lead financial transformations, cost optimization initiatives, and operational improvements.

Skills

Hands‑on, strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage banking and supplier relationships.

Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.

Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, hands‑on, dynamic business environments.
