Base pay range $225,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr
Executive Director, Accounting & Finance Recruitment - Asset & Wealth Management This high growth alternative asset manager is seeking an exceptional Controller to join the Finance Team and oversee accounting and financial reporting for its newly launched registered investment vehicles. This role partners closely with the CFO and Managing Director and serves as the primary liaison with the third-party fund administrator, fund accountant, transfer agent and custodian.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee third-party fund administrator, fund accountant, transfer agent and custodian to ensure accurate transaction recording.
Produce fund performance analysis and quarterly board reports.
Monitor compliance and liquidity in coordination with the firm’s Liability Management team.
Collaborate with Operations, Valuation and Management company teams.
Prepare management and incentive fee calculations; manage expenses and accruals.
Draft and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual filings in compliance with SEC and US GAAP requirements, including financial statements and related financial statement disclosures.
Prepare and submit SEC filings requirements as necessary.
Ensure financial reporting aligns with SOX controls and support the SOX audit.
Manage the annual audit.
Collaborate on firm initiatives including marketing, diligence and fundraising.
Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to maintain compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
9-12+ years of experience in fund accounting (prior public accounting experience required)
Business development company or credit fund experience required
