An operational private equity firm focused on building and scaling industry-leading platforms is seeking a Controller & CCO. The firm is preparing to raise its first co-mingled fund, anticipating $300-500 million, and is committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Compensation Salary: $150,000 – $175,000, Plus Bonus
Job Responsibilities
Oversee financial reporting, accounting, payroll, and treasury functions, including invoicing, payables, payroll processing, and journal entries.
Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and management reports.
Ensure compliance with corporate tax filings, state registrations, and other regulatory requirements.
Create, monitor, and improve internal financial controls, policies, methodologies, and processes.
Manage financial audits and corporate insurance policies.
Serve as primary point of contact with the third-party fund administrator for fund-level accounting, reporting, and investor communications.
Review and verify quarterly and annual fund financial statements, management fees, and other key fund metrics.
Collaborate with the administrator to support year-end audits, tax reporting, and investor reporting packages.
Serve as the firm’s primary liaison with regulatory bodies and compliance consultants.
Oversee registration and regulatory filings, including Form ADV and other SEC-mandated compliance matters.
Develop, implement, and maintain the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.
Conduct regular compliance training, testing, and risk assessments.
Manage and track compliance-identified findings and resolutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
7+ years of experience in private equity, asset management, or a similar financial services environment.
Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, RIA compliance, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in financial reporting software and compliance management tools.
