Who will you be working with? As a member of the Signaling & Systems Team that is under Digital Intelligence, you will be responsible for leading a team of design resources associated with multiple Class I Railroads, Short Lines, Commuter Lines and Light Rail domestically and globally.
How will you make a difference? The Sr. Manager of Engineering is responsible for directing, planning and scheduling projects with the engineering staff: Project Managers, Senior Engineers, Engineers, Designers, and CADD Technicians. The Manager of Engineering will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
What do we want to know about you?
Strong knowledge of wayside railroad or transit system signal engineering principles and concepts.
Strong knowledge of the application and design of wayside and crossing systems.
Strong MS Office computer skills and capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar degree or Six years of industry engineering experience.
Three years of supervisory experience.
What will your typical day look like?
Oversees engineering department functions manages employees and projects.
Develops project schedules and deadlines, determines project quotes and budget requirements.
Prepares reports, approves timesheets and expenses, reviews and approves invoices.
Monitors deadlines and progress of all projects; assigns tasks to maximize capacity utilization and to ensure projects stay on track.
Coordinates meetings and communicates with internal departments and external customers.
Provides support to employees to perform their assigned tasks.
Guides direct reports in the creation of their individual goals, monitors their performance, and ensures their goals are aligned with the business strategy of the company.
Assigns tasks and the implementation of alternative work methods to assist in process improvement.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the AVP of Engineering/Omaha.

Sitting at a desk for long hours.
Possible travel.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.
Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.

The salary range for this role is between $102,500.00-$146,000.00. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
