About Us Wild Eagle Lodge is a premier Northwoods resort located on the beautiful Eagle River Chain of Lakes. We provide exceptional lodging, recreation, and event experiences for families, couples, and groups. We are currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands‑on General Manager to lead all facets of our resort operations and ensure the continued success and growth of the property.

Position Summary The General Manager (GM) of WEL, LLC plays a critical leadership role, responsible for the financial oversight, operational efficiency, marketing, staff management, guest satisfaction, and overall success of Wild Eagle Lodge. This position also includes supporting adjacent business functions and the Wild Eagle Lodge Condominium Association (WELCA).

Key Responsibilities

Record and reconcile daily sales/deposits across lodging, gift shop, and ice cream shop

Manage vendor billing, cash flow, inter‑account transfers, and payroll bi‑weekly

Perform month‑end and year‑end closing procedures in QuickBooks and Property Management System

Prepare and review monthly statements and sales/room tax filings

Process owner proceeds, damages, and billings

Coordinate annual tax filings and 1099 distributions with CPA

2. Association (WELCA) Accounting

Manage collection and processing of dues and assessments

Reconcile monthly and quarterly financials

Maintain records and support monthly statement preparation

3. Marketing & Advertising

Create and schedule engaging content for Facebook and Instagram

Design and place digital and print advertising, including video placements

Lead email marketing campaigns and maintain blog and website content

Manage and optimize Google Ad campaigns

4. Revenue Management & Budgeting

Monitor comp sets weekly and adjust pricing as needed

Conduct rate forecasts and set annual budgets for WEL and WELCA

Track and analyze revenue/expense trends to ensure budget compliance 6. Resort Operations & Staff Management

Supervise all departments and ensure smooth daily operations

Handle emergency calls outside business hours as needed

Oversee grounds maintenance and condition reporting for Architecture Review Committee

Lead owner communications and website updates

Support the Condo Association Board of Directors with projects, elections, and mass mailings

Handle escalated customer service issues and owner inquiries

Manage real estate disclosures, unit sales, and operational transitions

Maintain familiarity with resort systems and fill in operationally as needed (including pool operations)

Lead all group sales efforts include pricing, contracts, and setup/teardown

Serve as point of contact during events and be present when required

Maintain agent of record status for liquor license

Qualifications

Proven experience in hospitality or resort management

Prior experience working with condominium associations

Strong accounting and budgeting skills, ideally with QuickBooks and Track PMS

Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict‑resolution abilities

Experience with digital marketing, social media, and advertising platforms

Ability to multitask and manage both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term projects

Capable of working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge of or willingness to become certified in pool operations is desired but not required

Knowledge of vacation rental and OTA sites including VRBO & AirBNB.
