Assistant Director Student Conduct & Academic Integrity Join Florida International University as the Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity. The role assists in the administration of behavioral misconduct and academic integrity processes, conducts information sessions, serves as a hearing officer, and supports the Student Conduct Committee.

Responsibilities

Assist with the investigation and adjudication of behavioral misconduct and academic integrity matters, interpreting and administering the Student Conduct and Honor Code.

Conduct information sessions, serve as a hearing officer for informal and formal hearings, and prepare related correspondence.

Assist the Associate Director in managing the Student Conduct Committee (SCC), including recruiting and training members and creating a semesterly calendar for SCC hearings.

Serve on departmental and university-related committees, collaborate with colleagues, and serve as a liaison to the campus and greater community.

Assist with annual statistical and informational reports and review of the Student Conduct and Honor Code, policies, and procedures of the Office of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity.

Maintain program files, data files, and records for data management and reporting.

Facilitate and assist in developing workshops for the university community on ethics, personal decision making, academic misconduct, behavioral misconduct, and the conduct process.

Serve as a liaison with the Office of the Registrar and Housing & Residential Experience (HRE), overseeing case management and training HRE staff on the conduct process.

Supervise graduate assistants and practicum students.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related discipline.

At least two (2) years of experience in a related discipline.

Experience adjudicating student conduct cases.

Experience having developmental and difficult conversations with college students.

Knowledge of FERPA as it relates to the confidentiality of student records.

Knowledge and proficiency with Maxient.

Salary $55,000 – $60,000 per year.

Work Schedule Begin time: 8:30 AM – End time: 5:00 PM.

Other Information

Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and at locations outside the University.

Travel to FIU Campus.
