Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
Perform electronic filing in both state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with filing rules and deadlines.
Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
Track case‑related deadlines and coordinate timely follow‑up on pending tasks.
Organize and maintain case files and electronic documents using firm‑approved systems (such as iManage or similar DMS).
Prepare billing materials, expense reports, and assist with time entry.
Provide general administrative support as needed, including handling correspondence and coordinating travel logistics.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting, supporting multiple attorneys.
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with iManage or similar legal document management systems.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
