Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineering Manager
to lead our electrical and embedded systems engineering efforts. This position plays a critical role in new product development, sustaining engineering, and global electrical support. You’ll collaborate with leaders across product management, operations, quality, and manufacturing, while also managing direct reports and external partners.
This is a hands‑on leadership position that combines technical expertise, project ownership, and people management. You’ll be at the center of driving innovation, ensuring compliance, and delivering products from concept through launch.
What You Will Do:
Provide technical direction and hands‑on project management for product development, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Develop specifications for:
PWM‑based brushed and brushless DC motor systems
ST and PIC microcontrollers
LiFePO4 batteries, sensors, wireless communications, displays, harnesses, electromechanical and hydraulic assemblies
Lead embedded software/firmware development in C/C++ (Visual Studio Code), including GUI integration.
Own engineering documentation using Altium and SolidWorks.
Select and qualify materials, components, and suppliers (connectors, sensors, EMC shielding, cabling, enclosures).
Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, UN, CSA, CE, EN, and FDA/ISO 13485 standards.
Manage phase‑gate and ECO processes with tools such as SolidWorks PDM and InforXA.
Guide the team in design best practices, failure mode analysis, testing requirements, and root cause investigations.
Recruit, coach, and develop engineering talent while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of engineering experience
with proven product launches from concept to commercialization.
Background in
medical device or regulated products
is a strong plus.
Expertise in
NPI (New Product Introduction)
and manufacturing transfer.
