Description The Process Engineer leads the optimization and implementation of projects designed to increase productivity, reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and maximize profitability. The successful candidate develops best practices, fosters sustainable cultural change, and collaborates across all areas of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Lead process improvement projects applying Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts.

Interact with supervisors and workers to explore initiatives, ideas, and order progress.

Develop innovative solutions to reduce downtime, increase throughput, and minimize product loss.

Partner with operations to plan conveyor layouts that support crop movement and minimize manual handling.

Develop process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects are completed on time.

Perform risk assessments and develop analytical tools and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPI).

Maintain flexibility for seasonal demand and additional hours as needed.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather information or provide assistance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience in process improvement and project management is a plus.

Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, procedures, and quality.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Power BI).

Experience in process simulation and process engineering software packages.

Bilingual (English – Spanish) is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.

Physical Demands

Lift up to 20 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Perform bending, reaching, stretching, standing, and walking in various settings.

Work Environment Daily tasks involve standard office equipment and occasional outdoor work in fluctuating weather conditions. The role requires direct contact with plants, soil, shipping materials, and exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions.
