ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Senior Design and Drafting Manager is responsible for the overall quality or fiber optic design and CAD drafting teams/standards. They must be an expert in various types of FTTx design and highly proficient at AutoCAD. Key responsibilities include:

Manage and train all drafters in design and drafting GRC standards. Review and complete high- and low-level design for various types of FTTx. Review quality of internal and external engineering deliverables and products. Ensure quality of engineering and design products. Ensuring the timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses. Work directly with the project manager to oversee the overall success of the project, adhering to company engineering practices. Managing both internal and external drafting teams to ensure quality and uniformity standards are met. Overseeing OCALC load calculation (PLA) to ensure quality and timeliness. Help Coordinate BOM splice matrix’s and program management. Create CAD and engineering program templates to ensure quality of product. This may vary by geography. Coordinate with construction to maintain up to date reports. Support Engineering PM in communicating engineering information to construction teams. Assist the VP of Engineering with engineering dates such as survey, engineering completed, permit submitted, permit approved and RTC dates. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 8 years’ experience FTTx design. Proven proficiency in Cad, Microsoft excel products, OCALC, and google products. Proven success in various geographies for aerial and UG fiber optic infrastructure and design. Understanding utility construction processes and terminology. Experience in various GIS practices. Strong technical/business knowledge in the telecom industry. Verifiable experience in project management, operations, or business management. Ability to lead a team of drafters by being a good and effective communicator. Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together. Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation. Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are acquired, and when the project should be completed. Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them. Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources. Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production Excellence in verbal and oral communication skills. PREFERRED SKILLS

Strong background in Engineering and design. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Process and documentation orientation, with a focus on continuous improvement Strong written and verbal communications skills. Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, etc.), Zoho, and project management tools a Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required for all positions. 4-year degree, military experience, or 8-year minimum related working experience. Job Type: Full Time Reporting to: VP of Engineering Compensation range : $85,000 - $115,000 Salary + 15% bonus Target start date: 2-3 weeks from offer Interview Process
