An industry leader in public safety communications technology is seeking a dynamic and strategic
Sales Director
to lead a team of six Account Executives across the Western United States. This individual will be responsible for driving regional sales growth, managing complex solution sales in the public safety sector, and mentoring a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in emergency communications systems including
Next Gen 911, CAD, Dispatch solutions, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) , as well as strong leadership capabilities in a geographically distributed sales environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of six regional sales professionals across the Western U.S. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet revenue and market growth objectives. Drive the full sales cycle for high-value public safety technology solutions including 911 systems, CAD, dispatch software, and LMR infrastructure. Build and maintain strong relationships with public safety agencies, government stakeholders, and channel partners. Track pipeline activity, forecast regional performance, and report on KPIs to executive leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. Ensure the team adheres to best practices in solution selling, RFP responses, and contract negotiations. Stay abreast of public safety trends, procurement regulations, and emerging technologies affecting the sector. Qualifications
Minimum 7–10 years of sales experience in public safety technology, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role. Proven track record in selling complex solutions to public safety and government agencies (911, CAD, dispatch systems, or LMR strongly preferred). Strong understanding of the sales cycle for government procurements, including RFP/RFQ processes. Demonstrated ability to build and lead geographically dispersed sales teams. Exceptional communication, coaching, and presentation skills. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools; data-driven sales management approach. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., NENA, APCO) a plus. Compensation & Benefits
