Basic Qualifications

  • 0 years of experience with BA/BS OR 4 yrs experience years w/HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to Obtain Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust).
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Work location: San Antonio onsite required.
  • Familiar with MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication skills and professional writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform administrative tasks in support of Lifecycle Management.

Preferred

  • 6 years with BS/BA; years of experience can be substituted for degree OR HS + 10 years experience.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (preferred) and strong administrative, tracking and documentation skills.
  • Experience with MS access, ServiceNow or other ticketing systems (i.e. BMC Remedy or similar).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e., ability to prepare Microsoft (MS) Excel Pivot Tables, ability to identify duplicates in an Excel spreadsheet, ability to use MS Excel Power Query for extract, transform, and load functions, ability to use MS Word, etc.

Peraton is seeking a Hardware Validations Analyst to perform Hardware Management duties for Lifecycle Management within the Defense Health Agency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the government in ensuring that requirements requested are approved from the DHA Enterprise Approved Product List.
  • Update action statuses via the Procurement Action Tracker, ServiceNow and other databases/tools as necessary.
  • Process hardware related tickets, review/validate RVDC, follow up with customers as necessary.
  • Generate reports, monitor ITSM ticket assignment group performance, monitor calendar events, and provide critical updates to Government leadership when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with program and project managers from various Directorates within the Defense Health Agency to ensure that the hardware being requested has not reached their end of life/ end of support dates.
  • Coordinates with program and project managers to ensure that the hardware is still a valid requirement ensuring that the agency does not pay for maintenance on items no longer needed.
  • Review Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) and compare them to quotes received by vendors. Provides recommendations to the government on if the EBOM and the quote are technically acceptable.
  • Assist in identifying End of Life (EOL)/ End of Support (EOS) information for hardware components to include but not limited to the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), Top Level Architecture (TLA), End User Devices (EUD) and various components.
  • Update the Asset Management Database with EOL/EOS information.
  • Conduct market research to determine cost estimates for replacement devices based on the request of the customer.
