Job Description

Agile Senior Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Agile delivery teams, ensuring evolving business needs are continuously understood, prioritized, and translated into actionable user stories and product features.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies, refining backlogs, and driving iterative delivery of value.
  • Ensuring business objectives are met through adaptive planning, early delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Creating 10-15 user stories per week in JIRA and 23-25 use case stories bi‑weekly.
  • Co‑constructing epics, features, and user stories that are INVEST‑compliant.
  • Leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, including documentation, verification, and release.
  • Documenting test scenarios, coordinating defect triage, and collaborating with QA and development teams.
  • Providing end‑user training and release communications.
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation of business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
  • Monitoring and reporting project status, prioritizing and managing new work requests.
  • Researching and responding to policy‑related inquiries impacting Agile delivery or system behavior.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret business needs by gathering, eliciting, creating, analyzing, documenting, and validating user and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine business needs into well‑defined epics, features, and user stories.
  • Participate in backlog grooming sessions to ensure stories are INVEST‑compliant.
  • Define acceptance criteria and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the Agile lifecycle.
  • Assist in planning, tracking, and managing open issues.
  • Support end users with training and release communications.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot problems utilizing acquired experience and knowledge of systems, software, and processes.
  • Maintain documentation of business processes, workflows, and system interactions using Agile‑friendly formats.
  • Prioritize and manage new work requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, especially those related to federal healthcare programs.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in functional, operational, business, data, systems, or testing analysis.
  • Experience with interacting with large Scrum teams.
  • Hands‑on experience creating user stories in JIRA.
  • Required health insurance experience.
  • Previous experience working with ServiceNow application.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing ServiceNow iTSM module.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and business analysis competencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent initiatives.
