Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer – Jacobs
Base pay range : $123,600.00 – $162,300.00 per year This opportunity is available at any location in the United States. Jacobs is committed to delivering innovative HVAC solutions for heavy industrial clients and seeks an experienced engineering professional to lead design and construction activities. Responsibilities
Design and install HVAC systems for industrial facilities, including chilled water, cooling water, and clean‑room applications. Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, sizing calculations, airflow diagrams (AFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. Develop final design documents—specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and construction drawings—for HVAC systems. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVAC solutions into overall project design. Lead field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and provide technical support throughout project execution. Qualifications
Professional Engineering License. Minimum ten (10) years’ experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Strong knowledge of codes and standards governing HVAC design. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate with remote disciplines. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D software. Background in plumbing/utility system design.
