Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role focuses on designing HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, collaborating with a multi-discipline team, and ensuring technical quality and schedule adherence. Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems. Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, and unique pressurization or cleanliness requirements for clean room applications. Produce conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. Create final design documents, specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water. Coordinate with other disciplines and manage schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks. Qualifications
Professional Engineering License. At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC system design. Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines. Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely. Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D. Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems. Benefits
