Marketing Associate, Live Journalism Events
The Dow Jones events marketing team recruits world‑leading business and consumer audiences into our Live Journalism events. We deliver event awareness and demand, supporting new business growth for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal.
Responsibilities
Execute a multi‑channel campaign plan to drive event leads and ticket sales (email, digital media, social, print, direct mail, partnerships).
Collaborate with the audience team on data briefs to fuel marketing campaigns.
Partner with product and brand marketing on hand‑off of creative assets, working closely with internal design to evolve based on response.
Update marketing websites, ensuring event details and propositions are current.
Identify and work with key marketing partners (industry associations, membership organisations, media organisations).
Provide on‑site support at key events.
Handle purchase orders, invoices and cost‑management administration for campaigns.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports summarising performance across predetermined KPIs/metrics.
Share weekly top‑line numbers with management.
Measure and manage campaign costs, efficiencies and drive ROI.
Analyze and identify actions to improve performance.
Produce monthly optimisation reports with recommendations for management.
Produce post‑event reporting.
Qualifications
Willingness to work in NYC (midtown) office 3 days a week.
1‑2 years marketing experience, ideally B2B membership, publishing, events, media or equivalent agency role.
Experience with the test‑learn‑measure approach.
Ability to analyse results, develop solutions and make recommendations quickly.
Analytical skills and a data‑driven mindset, coupled with passion for creativity and forward‑thinking flair.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Understanding of subscription/membership models, with direct marketing experience preferred.
Experience taking responsibility for initiatives and exhibiting a positive “can‑do” attitude at all times.
Ability to embrace and drive change in a high‑pace environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
Customer‑facing demeanor.
