Our client, a leading provider of mechanical and HVAC services, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily financial operations of a growing organization. This hands‑on role will manage the accounting team, ensure accurate reporting, and support leadership in driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Manage the month‑end and year‑end closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with operations and project management teams to monitor job costing and profitability.
Support external audits, banking relationships, and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve financial visibility.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of construction or service industry accounting practices preferred.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
