Base Pay Range $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr

This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

We are looking for a high‑energy Plumbing Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative plumbing design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside our team of engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.

You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll work with a multi‑discipline, highly interactive team to establish the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

Development of the design criteria for the plumbing systems.

Layout and design of plumbing systems, including sanitary sewer, process sewer, potable water, hot water, natural gas, and roof drainage.

Development of final design documents including specifications associated with these systems.

Coordination with other disciplines.

Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.

At least eight (8) years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems.

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of plumbing systems.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to follow the lead of a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

Software experience in Revit.

Experience in the design of utility piping system design.
