Speechify is hiring a senior iOS engineer to help support our growing iOS app and drive new product initiatives. The role focuses on shipping high-quality code, collaborating with product and design teams, and shaping the technical direction of the iOS codebase.
Overview Speechify’s iOS app is a fast‑moving, data‑driven product that serves over 50 million users worldwide. As a senior iOS engineer you will work with a remote, distributed team of product, design, and engineering specialists to deliver a product that empowers people to read and learn faster.
Responsibilities
Lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS app.
Ship production code that handles a large, growing user base.
Work within a dedicated product team to shape the roadmap and prioritize features.
Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to define feature scope and technical design.
Qualifications
5+ years of iOS development experience with a track record of shipping large‑scale mobile products.
Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and iOS architecture patterns.
Strong ownership of performance, reliability, and user experience.
Experience with CI/CD, Fastlane, and Git workflow best practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Customer‑obsessed mindset with a desire to build products that delight users.
Technical Requirements
Proficient in Swift programming language.
Hands‑on experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
Solid multithreading and concurrency skills.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with SOLID principles and clean architecture.
Version control expertise with Git and branching strategies.
