Under the direct supervision of the Head Volleyball Coach, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University’s varsity volleyball program. The Assistant Coach will primarily provide assistance in coaching instruction to volleyball student‑athletes during practices and games. This position requires frequent interaction with the head coach, assistant coaches, and athletic trainers to help promote a successful and positive athletic experience for all volleyball student‑athletes. Responsible for enhancing the performance of volleyball student‑athletes. Assist with the implementation of the practice plans approved and/or established by the head coach. Works with coaches to determine progress and make needed individual adjustments. Attends practices and games. Assists coaching staff with administrative tasks, as assigned by the head coach. This includes but is not limited to scouting, practice planning, and travel logistics. Assists in the recruiting efforts designed to attract academically qualified and athletically gifted student‑athletes to the program. Evaluate prospective student‑athletes in‑person and through reports from high school coaches on their athletic and academic performance. Keep all recruiting records in good order and provide regular reports to the Head Coach on the recruitment status of each prospective student‑athlete. Report any major concerns or attention for recruitment related issues to the Head Coach. Competencies

Part‑Time 3 – 4 hours per week. This is a temporary part‑time position ending on or before 08/01/2026. Salary Range

$20.00 – $22.86 per hour. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree. 1 – 3 years of relevant experience. Preferred Education and Experience

Approximately 1 – 2 years of coaching experience or experience playing volleyball at the collegiate or professional level preferred. Travel Required
