Part‑Time Men’s Basketball Assistant
Join American University, a student‑centered research institution in Washington, DC, as a Part‑Time Men’s Basketball Assistant. In this role you will support the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and assist with scouting, statistical analysis, and administrative tasks for the varsity men’s basketball program.
Responsibilities
Analyze performance of student‑athletes and opponents; provide recommendations to coaching staff.
Assist with the implementation of practice plans approved or established by the head coach.
Attend practices and games and support coaching staff with administrative tasks such as video upload and game‑day operations.
Assist in recruiting efforts by evaluating prospective student‑athletes through film analysis.

$26 – $29 per hour
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
1‑3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Education & Experience
Approximately 1‑2 years of coaching experience or experience playing basketball at the collegiate or professional level
Travel
Some travel may be required
