LHH is currently recruiting for an
Accounting Manager
role with a distribution client. This role will work directly with the CFO and Controller and manage a team in accounting. The position is hybrid in the Portland metro area.

Overall Job Functions
Oversee all of the GL and Accountants (4 total direct reports) and run the monthly close process; hold team accountable to deliverables.
Focus on process improvements and internal controls.
Create checklists and organization tools to help the team be more efficient; mentor and provide good leadership.
Work on merging accounting functionalities and processes across multiple divisions.
Document processes and help with system upgrades during future acquisitions.
Assist with inventory and freight accounting and work closely with the Controller on various projects.
Key Requirements / Preferences
BS in Accounting.
5+ years of experience with strong working knowledge of the GL and close process.
Recent supervisory experience; ready to mentor and grow the team.
CPA (active or inactive) is required; public accounting background a big plus.
Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and FASB Accounting Standards, specifically ASC 606, ASC 330, ASC 842.
Industry experience in Wholesale Distribution and/or Food/Beverage a big plus but not mandatory.
Positive and productive during change.
