Tax Senior - Accounting Compliance & Reporting (ACR) - Central and East locations Join the EY team in a Tax Senior role focused on Accounting Compliance & Reporting. You will support global clients in managing their statutory and financial reporting obligations across 150+ countries.

Location: Chicago, New York City, Hoboken, Iselin, Charlotte, Atlanta, Phoenix, Seattle, Dallas, Miami, Washington

Overview At EY, you’ll be part of a globally connected team that shapes clients’ financial processes and drives improvement. This role combines robust accounting knowledge with the technical rigor required for statutory reporting and compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

Apply technical accounting expertise to analyze account balances, reconciliations, and related financial data during monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.

Validate the accuracy and completeness of accounting and ensure timely preparation of statutory financial statements.

Identify and resolve issues that may impact reporting deadlines and compliance, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and client experience, including process automation and manual journal elimination.

Provide judgmental input on accounting and process issues to support senior management decisions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Ability to communicate analysis and findings clearly to leaders and clients.

Strong accounting knowledge and experience in statutory reporting and compliance.

Experience managing multiple engagements and setting priorities under deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic IT concepts.

Professional demeanor and ability to work in a supervisory environment under an Assistant/ Senior Manager.

Qualifications to Qualify

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).

3–4 years of experience in public or private practice finance or accounting.

CPA license, state Bar membership, or ongoing progress towards these credentials.

Knowledge of global statutory reporting and/or bookkeeping across multiple countries.

Advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Ability to manage simultaneous projects and travel 20–30% to client locations.
