Overview Our client is seeking an experienced
Technical Accounting Manager
on a contract basis to support complex accounting research, policy documentation, and the implementation of new accounting standards. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with deep technical expertise who can interpret U.S. GAAP, prepare accounting memos, and advise on treatment for complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities Research and document accounting positions on complex and non‑routine transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, stock‑based compensation, business combinations, consolidations, debt, and derivatives). Prepare well‑supported
technical accounting memos
and present conclusions to senior management and external auditors. Support the adoption or implementation of
new accounting standards
and policy updates. Advise on the accounting implications of
strategic initiatives , including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, or financing activities. Ensure
compliance with U.S. GAAP
and internal control standards. Partner with Finance and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist in the preparation and review of
quarterly and annual financial statements
and related disclosures. Provide technical guidance and training to accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
in Accounting or Finance;
CPA required . 7+ years
of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or technical accounting advisory. Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP
and SEC reporting requirements. Proven ability to
research and interpret complex accounting guidance
and communicate conclusions clearly. Experience with
Big 4 or national public accounting firms
highly preferred. Exceptional analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Experience with
ERP systems
(e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) a plus. Engagement Type:
