Human Resources Generalist Location:
3216 N 3rd St, Phoenix AZ 85016 Schedule/Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm Salary:
$65,000 – $75,000 (annual)
POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for assisting in the day‑to‑day HR operations and will work in close coordination with the Human Resources Team. The HR Generalist will provide administrative support for all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, record keeping, benefits, compliance and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain personnel records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Maintain and audit HR records and generate reports as needed.
Provide full‑cycle recruitment; update vacancies, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and schedule background checks.
Coordinate onboarding programs, pre‑employment items, offer letters, and orientation.
Work with Accounting and payroll to provide necessary data for payroll.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and communicate benefits changes.
Continuously update job knowledge and skills through educational opportunities.
Ensure adherence to departmental standards, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Meet deadlines and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork.
Crostrain on specific job responsibilities.
Meet identified HR business goals that contribute to overall NAC business goals.
Perform other duties and projects assigned.
Educational Requirement / Work Experience
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
Three to five years’ experience in Human Resources.
Knowledge of core HR responsibilities and management.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience working with the Native American population preferred.
Time‑management skills to achieve multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations.
