Role Overview

At St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, Certified Nursing Assistants provide essential care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and other outpatient oncology treatments. Your role supports the patient‑centered, multidisciplinary team dedicated to high‑quality cancer care.

Responsibilities

  • Support chemotherapy infusion, laboratory draws, and provider rooming.
  • Eligible to apply for nursing education scholarships.

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification in the State of Practice.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing school (ACEN, CCNE, or CNEA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
  • Nurse Apprentice letter or Nursing Intern letter from the State Board of Nursing.
