Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer – Jacobs

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing Group and deliver innovative design solutions for heavy‑industrial clients across the United States. Base Pay Range

$123,600 / yr – $162,300 / yr Responsibilities

Lead the layout and design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization, and cleanliness requirements for clean‑room applications. Prepare conceptual and preliminary design documents, including air‑flow diagrams (AFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements. Develop final design documents, including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems. Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into overall project design. Qualifications

Professional Engineering License (PE). At least ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities. Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely. Preferred Experience

Software experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D. Experience designing plumbing/utility systems. Benefits
