This is a full-time, on-site role for a
Childcare Director
at English Village Early Learning Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The Childcare Director will oversee the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children, families, and staff. Responsibilities include managing and supporting teaching staff, developing and implementing age-appropriate curricula, ensuring compliance with state regulations, maintaining licensing standards, and fostering strong relationships with families and the community.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in early childhood education or childcare administration
Strong communication, organizational, and team management skills
In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
Familiarity with state regulations and licensing requirements for childcare facilities
Ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Experience in program development, staff supervision, and family engagement initiatives
