Benign Hematologist
Location: Fairfax, VA, United States
Inova Schar Cancer Institute is looking for a dedicated Benign Hematologist to join the team. This role will be full‑time with sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance. The physician will care for patients with hematologic disorders, delivering coordinated, multispecialty care to patients with non‑malignant diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Benign Hematologist Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for patients with non-malignant hematologic disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hematologists, medical oncologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Participate in clinical and translational research initiatives, including industry-sponsored, NCI, and investigator-initiated clinical trials.
Engage in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Contribute to advancing clinical, genomic, and translational research within the Inova Schar Cancer Institute.
Utilize the state-of-the-art facilities, including a 60-chair infusion unit and advanced radiation oncology services, to provide optimal patient care.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in benign hematology and integrate best practices into patient treatment plans.
Support the mission of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute by actively participating in institutional initiatives and quality improvement programs.
Work collaboratively within a well-established, non-profit health system that balances academic and private practice medicine.
