Registered Nurse providing quality patient care to Cardiac patients with PH and Cardio-Oncology diseases. RN Performs as an educator in matters related to specialty area. Manages clinical activities, including medication management, insurance appeals, discharge support, triage patient calls and patient education. May establish administrative policies and procedures for Center of Excellence applications.

DEPARTMENT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinates with provides to educate patients on Diseases related to PH/ Cardio-Oncology Medication management, to include prior auth, appeals and education Triage patient calls, assist with chart escalation Patient education for hospital discharges and inpatient med training ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Works cooperatively within own department and with other services to create a system of quality health care delivery. Maintains current knowledge in area(s) of clinical supervision. Manages department(s) with consideration for safety. Participates in, and provides leadership for, development of policies-department of nursing and unit specific. Determines staffing requirements and communicates those as appropriate. Interviews and hires all personnel in department(s). Conducts meaningful appraisal of employees in an ongoing and timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree, or diploma in Nursing from an Accredited institution Current Maryland licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure Excellent customer service and communication skills At least 3-5 years of clinical experience Previous supervisory experience is a plus

Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Marylands Faculty Physicians Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
