Heads Held High Counseling
Heads Held High Counseling seeks a full‑time Clinical Therapist specialized in queer‑focused, compassionate care for adults and couples.
We provide a flexible, hybrid schedule with a secure Boston office (remote work possible). Clients access therapy via EMR (preferred).
About the Role The Clinical Therapist will provide individual and couples therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients experiencing anxiety, depression, dysphoria, “othering” and systemic exhaustion. You will deliver trauma‑informed work and support queer identity affirmation.
Essential Functions
Schedule, conduct, and document therapy sessions as per practice policy.
Maintain accurate, confidential client records (intake, progress, termination).
Implement evidence‑based modalities incl. EMDR, IFS, Narrative, and internal F systems.
Collaborate with supervising clinicians on case management and supervision.
Attend mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Maintain licensure (Massachusetts, LICSW/LCPC/LMFT, LCSW) and comply with ethical regulations.
Qualifications
Fully licensed in Massachusetts (LICSW, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW).
Master’s degree in counseling, therapy, or related field.
Experience with queer clients (preferred).
Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR).
Familiarity/in advanced training in EMDR, IFS, Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy (bonus).
