Job Title: AWS Architect Location: Plano, TX (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Client: Infosys Overview
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and DevOps practices, along with the ability to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions. Responsibilities
Design and implement AWS cloud architectures that are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide guidance on cloud best practices, including security, compliance, and cost optimization. Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK. Implement automation, monitoring, and logging solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency. Work closely with development and DevOps teams to integrate applications and services with AWS cloud infrastructure. Ensure compliance with industry standards and security regulations. Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and provide technical support. Stay updated on the latest AWS services and industry trends to drive continuous improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as an AWS Architect, Cloud Engineer, or similar role. Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.). Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, etc.). Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK). Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices. Experience with network design, storage solutions, and high-availability architectures. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) strongly preferred.
