Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced
AWS Cloud Architect
with over
15 years of IT experience , including
8 years in cloud architecture, engineering, and solution design . The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise across AWS services, strong experience with cloud-native solutioning, and a proven track record of designing
secure, scalable, and cost-optimized architectures
for enterprise environments. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on technical leadership to drive AWS adoption, modernization, and best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect
enterprise-scale solutions leveraging AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, VPC, etc.).
Lead
migration and modernization initiatives , including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting legacy workloads to AWS.
Define
AWS architecture standards, governance, and reusable frameworks
to ensure security, performance, and compliance.
Implement
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for consistent and automated provisioning.
Partner with DevOps teams to establish
CI/CD pipelines , container orchestration (EKS, ECS, Fargate), and monitoring solutions.
Optimize
cost, performance, and availability
through best practices in instance sizing, storage management, and autoscaling.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams development, security, and data engineering to deliver integrated AWS solutions.
Ensure all architectures align with
AWS Well-Architected Framework , emphasizing security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
Oversee
disaster recovery (DR), backup , and business continuity strategies using AWS-native services.
Provide
technical leadership, mentorship, and training
to engineering and operations teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
15 years
of progressive IT experience, including
8 years
of hands-on cloud architecture and engineering with AWS.
Expertise in AWS core services:
EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC, Route53, CloudFormation, and ECS/EKS .
Strong experience designing and implementing
secure, scalable, multi-tier architectures
on AWS.
Proficiency with
Terraform, CloudFormation
, and scripting languages ( Python, Bash, PowerShell ).
Experience with
DevOps tools
Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS CodePipeline.
Hands-on experience integrating
data, analytics, and AI/ML services
(Glue, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker).
Knowledge of
AWS networking and security best practices , including VPNs, NACLs, and encryption (KMS).
Excellent understanding of
cost optimization , tagging, and AWS Billing tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, Trusted Advisor).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with business and technical teams.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
or equivalent certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in
hybrid cloud environments
and on-premise integrations.
Exposure to
FinOps and cloud cost governance .
Familiarity with
microservices, event-driven architectures, and serverless frameworks .
Knowledge of
compliance and governance frameworks
(SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
Soft Skills:
