Overview
eeCorps Environmental Educator - Bird Conservancy
is a part‑time AmeriCorps State program located at Bird Conservancy of the Rockies in Brighton, CO. The role supports Colorado’s Environmental Education Plan by delivering high quality, experiential environmental education to PreK‑12 students and community audiences.
Responsibilities
Deliver classroom presentations, field trips, early childhood programs, outreach events, partner events, and day and overnight camp programs.
Assist with curriculum design, program promotion, pre‑program communication, development of materials, and program evaluation.
Organize and maintain education materials.
Be an enthusiastic representative of Bird Conservancy.
Track progress and collect evaluation data for the program’s performance measures.
Attend all required eeCorps/AmeriCorps orientations, meetings, and trainings.
Complete and submit all necessary eeCorps paperwork and reports by predetermined deadlines.
Travel locally and occasionally statewide as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum 17 years of age.
Strong communication, teaching, and public speaking skills.
Experience with children/youth education and environmental stewardship preferred.
