Overview
Director of Nursing – leading day‑to‑day clinical services in a complex community. Ensures residents receive quality ADL care, fosters an inclusive culture, and engages residents, families, and staff. Responsibilities
Supervise and coach licensed nurses and direct care staff, creating a high‑quality resident experience. Collaborate with district leaders to verify clinical services meet company standards and state regulations. Recruit, hire, train, and develop direct care staff, assessing promotions and retention strategies. Maintain resident charts, review documentation, and manage care plans per regulations. Lead care coordination, including pre‑admission screening, resident referrals, and engagement with health providers. Participate in quality improvement activities, resident retention programs, and service plan meetings. Enforce company policies, maintain applicable licenses, and manage on‑call and manager on duty (MOD) responsibilities. Qualifications
State nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) with valid driver’s license. Minimum 3 years clinical leadership experience. Knowledge of basic technology and electronic documentation. Skilled nursing experience may be required. Physical Demands
Standing, walking, sitting, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed for shift coverage. On‑call as needed; possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood‑borne pathogens, latex, and various hazards. Requires occasional driving. Management & Decision Making
Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department, demonstrating leadership skills for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care. Knowledge & Skills
