Minimum $101,283 (commensurate with education and experience)
Purpose Statement The Francis Howell School District is seeking a High School Activities Director who demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills in directing site activities, athletics, and student programs. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the school’s administrative leadership team, supporting initiatives that promote student engagement, leadership development, and connection to the school community.

Current Enrollment: Approximately 1,780 students
Certified Staff: Approximately 100 FTE
Administrative Team: Principal, Associate Principal, Three Assistant Principals, and One Activities Director
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all student activities, athletics, and leadership programs.
Supervise and support coaches, sponsors, and activity leaders.
Ensure compliance with Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) rules and regulations.
Collaborate with school and district leadership to promote student participation and success.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student involvement and school spirit.
Use data and technology to enhance program effectiveness and student engagement.
Support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and contribute to school improvement efforts.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification:
Master’s Degree required
Valid Missouri Principal Certification required
Experience:
Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience (high school level preferred)
Activities Director experience preferred
Head Coaching or Sponsor experience at the high school level
Experience with student leadership and mentoring programs
Training in Professional Learning Communities (preferred)
Demonstrated technology literacy and ability to use data for decision‑making
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to balance multiple priorities and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and families
