Administrative Associate II/III - Code Enforcement (Limited Term)
Join the City of Palo Alto as a full‑time Administrative Associate II or III. This limited‑term position (up to two years) provides primary administrative support to the Code Enforcement team in the Planning and Development Services Department. Key responsibilities include: Record keeping and tracking progress on code enforcement cases. Creating flyers, notices, and correspondence; writing issue letters and case files. Extracting and filtering information from the Accela permitting system and providing it to field staff. Makes reservations, arranges staff trainings, and supports meeting logistics. Ordering supplies, processing invoices, and handling reimbursements. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, ethical professional comfortable with technology, who can manage a variety of administrative tasks efficiently. Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent; 3–4 years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with the public, staff, and field personnel. Experience with Accela permitting system or familiarity with database query tools. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks. Valid California Driver’s License may be required for some assignments.
